Radio: An Illustrated Guide (PDF Download)
$2.00

Radio: An Illustrated Guide gives you an inside look at how This American Life is made. But even better, it's a step-by-step primer on how to make a radio story. The book includes detail on where we find our stories, how to structure a story, how to do an interview, how to hold the microphone, how to edit sound, how to write a script...really everything you'd need to get started. It's 32 black-and-white pages long, with appropriately fancy color covers, and was drawn by cartoonist Jessica Abel and written by Jessica and Ira Glass.

Public Radio Tattoos
$14.00

Years ago, Ira Glass had an idea for a pledge drive thank you gift: temporary tattoos. People thought it was a crazy idea. Then ... stations ended up giving away 70,000 tattoos. And now, public radio tattoos are back! The set includes nine tattoos: Two for This American Life, plus tats for All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Fresh Air and On The Media. And more designs that just say "Public Radio." Printed with non-toxic, soy-based ink. Made in the USA by Tattly.
100th Anniversary Mug
$16.00

When we'd been on the air for 10 years, we thought, let's skip that anniversary and go straight to the big one. So here it is: the This American Life 100th anniversary mug. It depicts all the hosts from our first century—including Ira Glass, Sarah Vowell's nephew Owen, and C.C. the Talking Cat (whose reign was brief). Artwork by the immensely talented Divya Srinivasan.

Doppelgängers Print
$20.00

Remember our episode "Doppelgängers," with Ben Calhoun's investigation into whether... um... people might be selling sliced hog rectums and saying that they're calamari rings? Well, with this print on your wall, you'll never forget it. It was designed by Steve Dressler and is printed on heavy, 11x14 acid-free archival paper. And/or, get the T-shirt.

X-Men / This American Life Poster
$22.00

In early 2010, we heard that a writer working for Marvel named James Asmus was a fan of This American Life, and had included a passing mention to our show in an X-Men comic book. It ended up being Nation X #1, with the panel in question (drawn by artist Michael Allred, colored by Laura Allred) depicting the characters Wolverine and Nightcrawler listening to This American Life  while driving across the country in a pickup truck.  So we thought, why not turn the thing into a poster?  The fine folks over at Marvel agreed to collaborate, and we came up with this handsome 16" x 32" enlargement. The initial run is a limited edition of just 2000 posters. Supernerds rejoice!
